Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version

  • Grocer’s prices are estimates. Your total at the store may differ.
  • Grocer screens for the allergies you give it, but you must still read product labels.
  • Grocer Pro renews automatically until you cancel it through the App Store or Google Play.
  • Lists you share to Discover can be seen by other Grocer users, without your name.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Calibre Integrated Works Ltd, doing business as Calibre Works, of 97 Ebitu Ukiwe St, Jabi, Abuja, Nigeria (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Grocer apps and this website (together, “Grocer”). By using Grocer you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use Grocer.

Who can use Grocer

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you. Grocer is designed for shoppers in the United States.

Your account

Grocer creates an account for you automatically so you can start without signing up. You can later add Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, or an email and password. Until you do, your data is tied to that device, and deleting the app may mean losing access to it.

Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

Trial and subscriptions

New users get three days of full access. After that, meal planning, priced lists and conversation with Grocer require a Grocer Pro subscription. Your saved lists and Discover remain available without one.

  • Grocer Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and payment is charged to that account.
  • It renews automatically at the then-current price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue them directly.
  • We may change prices or features of Grocer Pro. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and the store will notify you as its rules require.

If you download Grocer from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for Grocer or for supporting it.

Prices are estimates

Grocer estimates totals from store prices collected in advance near your ZIP code. Prices, stock, pack sizes and promotions change, and they vary between stores. Grocer does not sell groceries, is not affiliated with or endorsed by any retailer, and does not guarantee that any product will be available or cost what Grocer shows.

Grocer tries to keep lists within your budget, but the amount you actually spend is up to you and your store.

Food, allergies and health

Always read the label. Grocer leaves out products that match the allergies you give it, but product information can be incomplete, wrong or out of date, and recipes and products change.

Grocer is not a medical, dietary or nutritional service, and nothing in it is professional advice. If you have a severe allergy, a medical condition, or specific dietary needs, check ingredients yourself and follow the advice of a qualified professional. Follow safe food handling and cooking practices.

AI-generated content

Grocer’s conversation, meal plans and suggestions are produced with the help of an AI model. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Use your own judgment before relying on it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into Grocer, such as messages, photos and lists. You give us permission to store and process it to run Grocer for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you choose to share a list to Discover, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to show that list to other Grocer users, without your name. Only share lists you are comfortable with others seeing. We may remove shared lists at any time.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • break the law or anyone else’s rights using Grocer;
  • share anything unlawful, harmful, or containing other people’s personal information;
  • try to access other users’ data, or probe, disrupt or overload our systems;
  • copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer Grocer or its price data, except where the law allows;
  • use Grocer to build a competing product, or use automated means to access it.

Our rights

Grocer, including its software, design, name, logo and compiled data, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms. Everything else is reserved.

“Grocer”, “Calibre Works” and “Calibre Integrated Works”, and their logos, are our trademarks. Please don’t use them without our written permission.

We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend Grocer for maintenance or other reasons.

Other services

Grocer relies on services run by others, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat and recipe providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them. Recipe content may come from third-party sources, which remain responsible for it.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Grocer at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal reasons. If we stop offering Grocer entirely, we will give reasonable notice where we can. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as disclaimers and limits on liability, survive the end of this agreement.

Disclaimers and liability

Grocer is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost money, data or savings, arising from your use of Grocer, including reliance on estimated prices, product information or AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Grocer in the 12 months before the claim and US $50.

Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of Grocer or breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you in good faith. If we cannot, it will be heard in the courts of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts or under your local consumer law.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Grocer after that, the new terms apply.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Grocer. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
